Mid-Year Heart Check: Are You Aligned With God’s Desires?

As we step into a brand new month, I want to pause and ask you a simple—but soul-stirring—question:

Are you still aligned with what God desires for your life this year?

We’ve officially reached the halfway mark of the year. Six months have passed. And while some goals may have flourished, others may feel like distant dreams. Maybe you started the year with passion, vision, and a to-do list full of faith-filled intentions. But if we’re honest… life happened. Distractions crept in. Weariness settled. Priorities shifted.

Sis or Sir, this is your invitation to pause and take inventory—not just of your goals, but of your heart, your habits, your alignment with Heaven.

Take Inventory with God

Before you revise your plans, check your calendar, or revisit your vision board—take it to the Lord.

“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.”— Lamentations 3:40 (NIV)

God isn't just after what we do. He’s after who we’re becoming in the process. Sometimes, we chase productivity at the expense of presence. We plan our goals, but forget to consult the Goal-Giver.

Here are a few reflection questions to guide your inventory this month:

• What areas of my life have I neglected to invite God into?

• Are my goals rooted in kingdom purpose or personal ambition?

• Have I grown closer to God, or just busier for Him?

• Where do I need to surrender control and trust His timing again?

This is not about shame—it’s about realignment. It’s about coming back to the Shepherd’s voice and allowing His truth to lead us forward.
