Small Ways to Be Like Jesus

Have you ever felt the urge to do something for God, but weren’t sure where to start?

Maybe you’ve thought, “I don’t have a big platform,” or “I’m not a pastor or a speaker.” But what if I told you that being the hands and feet of Jesus doesn’t start on a stage it starts right where you are?

Jesus didn’t just preach from the mountaintop. He touched lepers. He washed feet. He fed the hungry. He saw the one in the crowd that everyone else ignored. And now,

we are His Body His hands and His feet on Earth.

The real question isn’t can you make a difference it’s will you?

Start Small, But Start Now

You don’t have to start a ministry to make an impact. You can live ministry every day by meeting people where they are.

Here are 5 simple ways you can begin being the hands and feet of Jesus starting today:

1. Send an Encouraging Message

Text or call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while. Let them know you’re thinking about them and praying for them.

📖 Proverbs 12:25 – “Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.”

Small words can carry heaven-sized hope.

2. Pay for Someone’s Coffee or Meal

Whether it’s someone behind you in line or a single mom you know at church buying a $5 coffee can show the love of Christ in a real, tangible way.

📖 Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

3. Hold the Door, Smile, and Say Hello

This may sound small, but kindness is a rare currency these days. Your warmth could be the only light someone sees today.

📖 Colossians 3:12 – “Therefore, as God’s chosen people…clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

4. Leave a Note or Scripture Somewhere Public

Tape a Bible verse to a mirror in a public restroom. Leave a note of encouragement on a

co-worker’s desk. The seed may be small, but God can water it.

📖 Isaiah 55:11 – “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty…”

5. Pray With Someone—On the Spot

Don’t just say, “I’ll pray for you.” Stop and pray right then and there. It can be 30 seconds but those 30 seconds may shift someone’s entire day.

📖 Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of

ree

Christ.”

The Challenge: Be Jesus Today

You don’t have to wait for a perfect time. You don’t need a church mic or a ministry title. You are the church. You are the light. Jesus didn’t send the disciples out with much just a mission and a message. And that’s all you need too.

Final Encouragement

Being the hands and feet of Jesus isn’t just about doing it’s about being.

Be present.Be kind.Be available.Be led by the Spirit.

One small act of love could be the very thing that draws someone back to Christ. Let’s not just talk about the gospel let’s live it.
