Have you ever received a word from God that stirred your soul—only to feel like nothing is happening? You start with excitement, full of vision and hope… but then comes the waiting. The delay. The silence.
I want to encourage you today: the waiting season is not a wasted season. In fact, it may be the most important part of your harvest journey.
Let’s look at a powerful example from Scripture that can reshape the way we view the “in-between.”
Noah: A Man Who Built Before the Rain
In Genesis 6–9, God gave Noah a word:A flood is coming. Build an ark.
That was the promise. But the fulfillment of that promise didn’t come right away. In fact, Noah worked for around 100 years on the ark before he ever saw a drop of rain.
Think about that—100 years of building, obeying, preparing… all while people laughed, questioned, and misunderstood his calling.
And yet—Noah didn’t stop. Why? Because faith builds even when nothing looks like it’s changing.
Noah’s story teaches us that the harvest (in this case, salvation and divine protection) is not just about the outcome—it’s about our obedience during the waiting.
What Should You Do While You Wait?

1. Keep Building in Obedience
Noah didn’t delay building until the clouds formed. He got to work immediately. He followed God’s exact instructions, not the opinions of people.
📖 Hebrews 11:7 — “By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.”
🛠️ Your act of obedience today might be the very thing God uses to protect or bless you tomorrow.
If He said “start the business,” “write the book,” “go back to school”—start building now. The rain is coming.
2. Ignore the Mockery and the Timeline
People thought Noah was foolish. He was building something no one had ever seen for a flood no one believed would come. But Noah wasn’t building for people—he was building for God.
📖 Ecclesiastes 3:1 — “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Don’t measure your promise by man’s clock.

God’s timing is perfect. Your job isn’t to control the timeline—your job is to trust Him through it.
3. Prepare Like It’s Coming Tomorrow
Noah gathered animals, stored food, and made space as if the flood was just days away. That’s called faith in motion.
📖 James 2:17 — “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

Preparation is the language of expectation. God sees when we take Him seriously.
God Always Keeps His Word
When the flood came, Noah didn’t have to scramble. He didn’t panic. He walked into the harvest of what he had been building for years.
And when it was over, God sealed His covenant with a rainbow.Your rainbow moment is coming too.
So today, if you’re still waiting on the promise—don’t stop building.Don’t stop believing. And don’t stop preparing.
Waiting is not wasted. It’s a divine workshop. God is shaping your character, stretching your faith, and preparing your platform. Stay obedient, stay grounded, and know that God is not a man that He should lie. Your harvest is in motion.
